Ayaal Sasi Movie Review

Ayaal Sasi Movie Review::Ayaal Sasi is one of the Malayalam movies that graced the screens here in Mollywood today. It has been written and directed by Sajin Babu who had earlier given as the critically acclaimed and award winning movie named Unto the dusk. It had got great appreciation and this time he is coming with a satire named Ayal Sasi in which Sreenivasan is playing the lead character. P Sreekumar and Sudheesh Pillai produced this movie under the banner named Pix N Tales. The trailer and songs from this movie had already got great attention from the film lovers here in Kerala. The plot of this movie revolves around the title character named Sasi played by Sreenivasan. He is playing a self -proclaimed artist who seeks attention from the public and the people around him. It tells us about various aspects of modern life, specially, the life in city in a very humorous and satiric manner.

Sajin Babu had already given us a movie which had got critical appreciation. He always want to do different movies with great quality in its content. He chooses fresh stories and want to present it in a very different manner as well. He proved his caliber through Unto the dusk and now through this film named Ayal Sasi, he showed that a film with great content can be a great entertainer as well. He had presented the plot in such a way that the audience were engaged in the movie till the very end. The humor part worked really well and the selection of artists also speaks volume about the craft of this director. The screenplay was great and the plot situations were very well presented in a convincing manner.

Performance from artists is the main highlight of this movie. Sreenivasan was at his vintage best as Sasi, the artist, who wants to draw attention of society towards him. His comedy one liners were hilarious and he created laughter inside the cinema hall even with his body language as well. Other artists like Kochu Preman, SP Sreekumar, Anil Nedumangad, Jayakrishnan, Divya Gopinath etc also done their part to perfection and they performed in such a way that we can’t even think of replacing them with any others. Casting was too good. The DOP of this flick was Pappu and he had given very realistic visuals to present this satire. The music scored by Basil CJ enhanced the total effect of the movie and it was beautiful. Ajay Kuyiloor had edited the flick and he too had done a nice job by providing a smooth pace to the narration of the plot.

In Total, Ayal Sasi is a quality entertainer which will give you a completely different and fresh movie experience. It seems that Malayalam Cinema is coming back to its vintage best as films like Ayal Sasi and Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum are being made and making the audience happy.
