Padayottam is one of the most anticipated movies of this season and this movie had graced the screens here today. Debutant Rafeek Ibrahim had written this movie and it has been written by Arun AR and Ajay Rahul. Biju Menon plays the lead in this movie and it has been bankrolled by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters. The posters and trailer of this film had got a great response from Social Media and that had raised the anticipation level around this flick as well. The plot of this movie has been revolving around the character named Chenkal Raghu played by Biju Menon. Chenkal Raghu is a Rowdy and the story moves forward when he had to travel from Trivandrum to northern Kerala with his gang and it shows the incidents that lead to the journey and the events that happen in his life during that time.

The film has been conceived as an action comedy which gives equal importance to comedy and action. It has mass elements in it along with a lot of humorous moments. Rafeek Ibrahim had made a very good debut as he has been able to present a complete entertainer before the audience. It has everything in it, which people expect from an entertainer starring Biju Menon. The screenplay was good and the way Arun and Ajay created humorous plot situations to tell the story, deserves appreciation. The dialogues were hilarious too. Both writers and director had mixed up action and comedy in the right proportions to make the audience glued to their seats till the very end.Performance from Biju Menon as Chenkal Raghu is been one of the highlights of this film. His look has been awesome and the dialogue delivery style of him was stunning as well. He created laughter and mass effect at the same time and as you all know, this actor creates magic on screen with his screen presence. Others like Saiju Kuruppu, Dileesh Pothan, Lijo Jose Pellisserry, Ravi Singh, Suresh Krishna, Harish Kanaran, Ganapathy, Sudhi Koppa, Basil Joseph etc too did a fine job. Anu Sithara did well as the lead female character.

Music scored Prashant Pillai was good and his background scoring stands out. DOP of this film was Satheesh Kuruppu and he did a great job by giving some mass visuals and the editing by Ratheesh Raj had made it look even better. His sharp cuts provided good pace for the storytelling as well.On the whole, Padayottam is a clean entertainer which will make you laugh and thrill inside the cinema halls for more than 2 hours. It is a Paisa Vasool cinematic experience which will never leave you disappointed.
