Askar Ali, the younger brother of popular actor Asif Ali had made his debut as a hero here in Mollywood through the movie named Honey Bee 2.5. Even though it did not become a big success, Askar Ali’s performance in it was decent and he got noticed for that as well. Honey Bee 2.5 was directed by Shyju Anthikkad and produced by Lal. Now, Askar Ali is doing his second film and it has been titled as Kamuki. Binu S, who had earlier given us movies like Ithihasa and Style is directing this movie.

Binu S is telling a campus love story in this film and reports says that Askar will be seen playing a visually challenged youngster in this movie, who falls in love with a girl. Aparna Balamurali is playing the female lead in this movie and the shoot of the movie had already begun. Askar plays the character named Hari and Aparna plays the character named Achamma who studies in the same college.Kamuki is a romantic comedy drama, says the director. He had begun his career with a surprise hit named Ithihasa, which was a fantasy comedy thriller. Shine Tom Chacko and Anusree played the lead in it. Then in his next film named Style, Unni Mukundan and Tovino played the lead characters.
