Varnyathil Aashanka Movie Review

Varnyathil Aashanka Movie Review::The Major Malayalam movie which graced the screens here in Kerala today was Varnyathil Aashanka directed by popular director Sidharth Bharathan with Kunchacko Boban in the lead. Thrissur Gopalji had written the screenplay of this movie and it has been bankrolled by Ashiq Usman under the production banner named Ashiq Usman Productions. This is the 3rd movie of director Sidharth Bharathan. Nidra and Chandrettan evideya are the other two films which he had directed before this one. The trailer of this movie had got great response from the film lovers and made it a much anticipated movie of this season.

The plot of this flick revolves around the lead character played by Kunchacko Boban, whose name is Sivan. Sivan is known as Kwotta Sivan, who is a rowdy. Characters played by Chemban Vinod, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Manikandan  Achari and Shine Tom Chacko also has great importance in the storyline and the flick moves around these characters mainly. The plot moves forward when the character named Dayanandan comes in to the life of Sivan, Wilson, Gilber and Pratheesh on a Hartal day.

We can say that Sidharth Bharathan once again came up with a quality entertainer just like he did last time with Chandrettan Evideya. It is a fun filled movie, but at the same time has certain quality in its making and in the way he told the story. The screenplay from Thrissur Gopalji was hilarious and plot situations he created deserve special mention. Dialogues too were hilarious and it all combined to make this movie a great entertainer. There are elements of a satire as well in this movie and that added to the entertainment quotient of the flick. Sidharth Bharathan had left his signature once again on this film and his ability as a director was evident throughout. The way he presented this plot before us speaks volumes about the craft of this man.The performance from each and every artist in the flick was stunning. Kunchacko Ban was one again terrific and played his character named Sivan to perfection. His body language and mannerisms were brilliant. Suraj Venjarammoodu once again showed his range as an actor and Manikandan Achari too did the same. Chemban Vinod and Shine Tom chacko were fabulous too. There energy level was just stunning. Rachana Narayanan Kutty once again impressed with her natural acting.

The DOP of this flick was Jayesh Nair and he had done a superb job. The visuals were cool and very much created an atmosphere to tell the story in a hilarious manner. Music was tuned by Prashant Pillai and he too did a fine job. Background scoring needs special mention. Bavan Sreekumar had given the required pace for this movie with his cuts.

In Total, Varnyathil Aashanka was a quality fun film, which will never let you down. It has something very fresh in it and will be a new experience for you all.
