Another loss for Bangalore Royal Challengers
Bangalore‘s dismal run continues as they suffered yet another defeat in the 10th season of IPL. Bangalore lost miserably to Gujarat Lions after Gujarat successfully chased the target. Bangalore made 134 runs which was not good enough to bother the opponents. Gujarat lions reached the target in just 13.5 overs and lost only 3 wickets in the processGujarat won the toss and asked Bangalore to bat first. Gujarat skipper Suresh Raina made the right decision as the Bangalore batting lineup collapsed. Bangalore lost the wickets of captain Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and Travis Head by the time they completed 5 overs.Virat Kohli was the first one to be dismissed as he tried to pull a short ball from Basil Thampi straight to short fine leg but ended up giving a catch to Finch. Andrew Tye stifled the batsmen with his brilliant bowling as he picked up two wickets in his two consecutive deliveries.
He first removed Chris Gayle who scored just 8 runs and claimed the wicket of Head in the next ball. Kedar Jadhav and Negi tried to resurrect the innings. They made 31 and 32 runs respectively to take the Bangalore innings to a decent score of 134.Gujarat too struggled in the initial phase of the chase. Gujarat lost the wicket of Ishan Kishan who scored 16 runs. Mccullum disappointed as he scored only 3 runs. Aaron Finch led his team to victory as he notched up72 runs from just 34 balls. Suresh Raina did the rest of the job as he made 34 runs from 30 runs. As a result of the combined efforts from Finch and Raina, Gujarat reached the target in 13.5 overs.
