Brad Pitt cleared of child abuse charges
The divorce news of Hollywood’s favourite couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie left everyone shocked. Even before that a case of child abuse was filed against Brad Pitt. Now, the latest news is that Brad Pitt has been cleared of child abuse allegations. The Los Angeles county department of children and family services has concluded its investigation into child abuse allegations against Pitt. The sources told that it was a full and thorough investigation in this matter and the determination has been made that no charges should be brought against Pitt as he found non-guilty. So, the most probable next step is a referral to family court so that the matter of custody of the kids can be determined. Now, there is no permanent custody agreement, but only an arrangement pending the outcome of this investigation.
The DCFS launched the investigation against Brad Pitt after he allegedly got ‘verbally abusive’ and ‘physical’ with their oldest child Maddox, on the couple’s private plane on September 14. Jolie filed for divorce five days later.During the investigation conducted by DCFS, both Jolie and Pitt agreed to a voluntary parenting plan where the children will be living with Jolie and supervised visitation will be allowed for Pitt, as well as family and individual counselling.
Before the investigation is closed, Jolie released a new statement saying that the former couple had reached a legal agreement about the custody of their six children: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. However, still there are rumours claiming that the pair have not reached any new agreements or settled their differences, and Pitt still plans to push for joint custody.
Pitt filed a response on November 4 requesting joint custody after Jolie, 41, requested sole physical custody in her divorce filing.
