Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum movie review;
Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum is the latest release here in Mollywood today. This movie is directed by Hit maker Boban Samuel and scripted Y V Rajesh. Kunchacko Boban, Jayasurya, Amal Paul etc playing the lead roles in it and the flick has been produced by Ashiq Usman in association with Central Pictures. The film had got great expectation level even before the release of its trailer due to the stellar star cast. When the trailer and songs has been released, the anticipation level raised to another level.
The plot of the movie revolves around two men who fall for the same lady. Kunchaco Boban and Jayasurya playing those two men and the female lead is played by Amala Paul. Jiya is a rich girl and while she was living happily, an unfortunate incident shook her life. At that particular juncture of her life, two men, one is a business man named Pranav and other is a street goon named Prince comes to her life. Both fall in love with her and they had their own plans as well. The film starts to develop from that point onwards. Pranav is played by Kunchacko Boban and Prince is played by Jayasurya. Jiya is the character played by Amala Paul as well.
Boban Samuel had succeeded in giving us a complete fun filled entertainer in this festival season. The film follows a simple story, but he presented it colourfully with lots of humour in it and the romantic track also very refreshing .Y V Rajesh’s screenplay was decent as well and it had all the elements in it to make it a highly entertaining one. The narration was smooth and the placement of songs was very good as well. It never let the audience to yawn inside the screens and make them entertained till the very last moment. Boban Samuel who had given us films like Janapriyan, Romans and Happy Journey once again proved that he knows the pulse of the audience and he knows how to deliver a product.
The technical side was very good as well. Gopi Sundar’s tunes were very good and it blended really well with the atmosphere in the plot. Anishlal’s cinematography and Lijo Paul’s editing made the film to look better visually. The performance of the artists is the backbone of this movie. Jayasurya and Kunchacko Boban had just sizzled as Prince and Pranav respectively. Amala Paul had done a fabulous job as well as Jiya. But the one who stole the show was Aju Varghese who played the character named Major Ravi. He along with Suraj Venjaramoodu had made the audience to laugh their heart out with their one liners and certain expressions. Lena, Nadirsha, Sreejith Ravi, Harish Kanaran, Vijaya Raghavan, Saiju Kuruppu, Kochu Preman, Sunil Sugatha, Irshad, Kunjan etc also did a fine job.
On the whole, Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum is a complete family entertainer which can make you relax in cinema halls and which never lets you down as a paisa vasool fun film.
